Lookism

Lookism is another manhwa adapted to anime and I'm here for it. I knew about the manhwa before but hadn't read it, so the anime was a good way to encourage me to check it out.

It has eight episodes and I binged through the whole series in one sitting, made easy by Netflix. I enjoyed the story as it explored the value placed on beauty and superficial things but especially bullying. Therefore, if you are someone that can't stomach intense bullying, it might be tough for you to get through the anime. You blatantly see the difference between how people considered attractive or unattractive are treated.

Coming out of Korea, the series also showcases kpop music, which I already enjoy.

Started watching in the original Korean audio but switched to the English dub to allow more flexibility while watching. It sounded pretty good.

Verdict - I'd give it a 7 overall. The animation was okay and the English dub acting was great.
